Privacy Policy

SwipeByte: Photo Cleaner (“SwipeByte”) is an Android mobile application developed by KYIRON Technologies (“KYIRON”, “we”, “us”).

Our privacy model is simple: your photos and videos stay on your device. SwipeByte works locally to help you review, keep, and bin photos. We do not operate user accounts, do not run analytics trackers, and do not transmit your media anywhere.

SwipeByte requires permission to access your photo and video library so you can view, review, and organize your media on your phone.

• Processed locally only: All photo analysis, swiping decisions, thumbnail generation, and Smart Stacks clustering happen entirely on your phone. Photos and videos are never uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party.
• Accessed, not collected: Under Google Play policies and privacy frameworks, your media files are accessed locally on the device to perform the cleaning actions you request; they are never collected or transmitted.
• System confirmation for deletion: SwipeByte cannot silently delete your files. The only way items are moved to trash is when you tap “Move to trash” and confirm Android’s native system dialog. Once moved, items remain recoverable in your device’s system trash for approximately 30 days.
• No junk or cache claims: SwipeByte manages your photos and videos only. The app does not clean system cache, junk files, or RAM, and makes no claims about boosting device performance.

SwipeByte stores a minimal set of operational data strictly within your phone’s private app storage:

• App settings: Your preferences and review state.
• Bin queue: The list of photo IDs you swiped left to bin, held locally until you either confirm moving them to trash or restore them.
• Freed-space totals: Running cumulative counters of space freed and items trashed.
• Smart Stacks cache: Fingerprints of photos (perceptual hashes and sharpness metrics) used to group near-identical shots. This cache contains mathematical hashes, never full images or copies of your photos.

This local data never leaves your device. Uninstalling SwipeByte removes all of this data immediately.

The free version of SwipeByte displays a single anchored banner ad on the Home screen using the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob).

According to Google’s data safety disclosures, Google Mobile Ads may collect and process certain data for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention purposes:

• IP address (which may be used to estimate approximate general location).
• User product interactions (such as app launches, taps, and ad views).
• Diagnostic and performance information.
• Device and account identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID and App Set ID).

All advertising data collected by Google is encrypted in transit using TLS. For more information on how Google processes data, review Google’s Partner Sites Policy.

Once SwipeByte Pro is active on your device, SwipeByte shows no ads and does not start the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, and Switzerland:

• On first launch, you are presented with a consent dialog via Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any ad requests occur.
• You can review or change your advertising privacy choices at any time directly in the app by navigating to Settings → Privacy options.

SwipeByte offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock SwipeByte Pro. Purchases are processed exclusively through Google Play In-App Billing.

SwipeByte and KYIRON never see, process, or store your payment card numbers, banking credentials, or billing address. All financial transactions are managed securely by Google Play under Google’s terms and privacy policies.

• No user accounts: You do not need to register, log in, or provide any personal contact information to use SwipeByte.
• No analytics or crash SDKs: SwipeByte does not bundle third-party tracking tools, analytics SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics or Mixpanel), or crash-reporting libraries. We monitor app stability solely using aggregated, privacy-preserving Android vitals provided in the Google Play Console.
• No sale of personal data: We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal data.

SwipeByte is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children.

If we make updates to this Privacy Policy, the revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
